Annual Servicing

Annual servicing is an essential part of protecting your vessel, maintaining performance, and identifying potential issues before they become costly repairs. At Havelock Slipway we offer comprehensive annual servicing as part of a planned, methodical haul-out process.

Our experienced team focuses on practical inspection, thorough preparation, and quality application to ensure vessels are returned to the water in optimal condition.

Hull Cleaning & Preparation

  • High-pressure freshwater wash-down immediately after haul-out

  • Removal of marine growth to expose hull surfaces

  • Preparation of underwater areas for inspection and coating

Underwater Inspection

  • Visual inspection of the hull and keel

  • Inspection of propulsion systems

  • Checks of rudders, steering gear, and trim tabs

  • Identification of any visible wear, damage, or corrosion

Any findings can be discussed early, allowing owners to plan repairs or defer work where appropriate.

Antifouling & Coatings

  • Surface preparation suitable for the selected antifouling system

  • Application of owner-specified or recommended antifouling products

  • Application of PropSpeed or similar coatings to:

    • Propellers

    • Shafts

    • Struts and running gear

Coating systems can be tailored to vessel usage and local conditions.

Thrusters, Anodes & Running Gear

  • Service and inspection of bow thrusters

  • Removal and replacement of worn or depleted anodes

  • General inspection of underwater fittings and appendages
